About Know Your Lyrics
The songs you sing in worship shape what you believe, often before you’ve stopped to examine whether the words are actually true. Know Your Lyrics exists to change that, one song at a time.
Why this exists
Worship music is one of the most formative forces in a Christian’s life. Songs shape belief, reinforce doctrine, and carry theology deep into the heart. Often before we’ve examined whether that theology is actually true.
This platform doesn’t tell you what to sing. It gives you the information to decide for yourself. That’s the whole point.
What we believe
Scripture is the final authority. Every examination starts and ends with the Bible. The KJV, ASV, and BSB are the three versions we work from.
You are the discerner. Know Your Lyrics is a tool, not a judge. We give you the examination; you give the verdict.
Content, not people. We critique what songs say, never the artists, movements, or churches behind them.
Honest stewardship. No full lyrics are stored on this platform. No data is sold. No platform subscription masquerades as a spiritual authority.
This is for everyone. Whether you are new to faith or have sung these songs for years, the words you sing matter. Know Your Lyrics is for any Christian who wants to sing thoughtfully.

This platform was built because we believed the tool should exist. It will grow steadily and earn its credibility through accuracy, honesty, and consistency.
If you find a song examination you disagree with, that’s completely valid. This platform is here to help you work through lyrics and discern for yourself, not to hand down conclusions. Your assessment is yours to set.
